House Bill 4224, enacted in 2025 by the 89th Texas Legislature, stipulates that covered entities will post detailed instructions on how to file complaints with the applicable licensing authority in a prominent place (i) on the covered entity’s website and (ii) at any entity facility.

Filing a Consumer Complaint

In addition to healthcare-related complaints, Texas Health and Safety Code § 181.103 requires the Office of the Attorney General to establish a website that permits individuals to file a complaint against a business for unlawful or unfair business practices.
